大相撲の面白さって何だろう？

人それぞれだとは思うのですが、相撲に興味のない人なら、どこに興味を持てばいいのかわからないとは思います。僕の個人的な嗜好になってしまいますが大相撲の面白いところはいくつかあります。

 

まず競技としてシンプルだということ。ルールが単純明快であるというところがいい。なんせ相手を土俵の外に出すか、足の裏以外が土俵に着いたら負けなわけです。この、わかりやすところが競技として潔く、楽しめる要素なのではないかと思います。

ほかに挙げていきますと、これは僕がお酒を嗜む人間だからなのかもしれませんが、土俵上の取組を観ながらお酒を飲むスタイルがあるということ。元来、日本人というのは春になれば花見を楽しむ人種です。昼から綺麗に咲き誇る桜を見ながらの一献。これに似ているように感じます。土俵という桜の木に力士という桜が咲き乱れる。そんななか飲む一杯がたまらなく美味しいのですが、あくまでもこれは僕個人の好みでもあるわけですが、この楽しみ方が伝われば相撲にハマりやすくなります。

 

まずはそこからでいいです。

最初は四股名や番付、裏方さんの仕事、決まり手など、そんなところまでは知らなくていいと思います。なんとなく大相撲というものを身近に置くことがまずは大切。そのあと少しずつ大相撲を知っていく稽古を積んでいけばいいわけです。

 

ルールを覚えて、酒を飲みながら観戦する。

 

 

まずはここから。会場に行けばきっとその楽しさから、もっと相撲を知りたくなりますよ。
